The Point Grey Road complex is a four storey, concrete structure with each of the four suites occupying an entire floor. While the single-unit-per-floor arrangement ensures optimum privacy and security, the maximum use of glazing material provides a generous panoramic view of Howe Sound, English Bay and downtown Vancouver. The whole building can be envisaged as being wrapped by one large window.
A consistent structural order of columns organizes the spaces internally while externally it makes reference to a field of classical antecedents. The extensive landscaping provides additional privacy and continuity with the lush characteristics of the neighbourhood. [Bing Thom Architects]
